Supporting Big Hearts Small City – Community Helping Community

At Thiefbusters, giving back isn’t an afterthought—it’s part of who we are. When an opportunity arises to support people doing meaningful work, we don’t wait around. We take action. That’s exactly what happened this past week with a remarkable local organization: Big Hearts Small City, based right here in Moncton.

Stepping Up in Times of Crisis

Big Hearts Small City has a well-earned reputation for helping people in urgent need. From families recovering after house fires to seniors living alone and individuals experiencing homelessness, they provide hands-on support when and where it matters most. They serve Moncton, Dieppe, and Riverview—and their reach continues to grow.

This group doesn’t just talk about making a difference; they show up, they respond, and they act fast.

When They Needed Help, We Responded

Last week, their team reached out to me after someone vandalized their security camera system. It wasn’t just a technical inconvenience—it was a blow to their safety and ability to operate with peace of mind. They needed the system replaced quickly, and they needed support to make it happen.

I didn’t hesitate. I offered them a brand-new HD security camera system at cost. Then I personally handled the wiring and labor—free of charge. I had the entire setup installed and running by 4 PM on August 3rd, just in time for the long weekend.

Proud to Support a Local Mission

Helping Big Hearts Small City stay secure means helping them continue their life-changing work. Jason Surette and the team were incredibly grateful, but truly, I was the one who felt honored. It’s a privilege to support organizations that pour so much into our community.
